Designing Flexible Learning Environments in K12 Education

Temple, TX – This 82,500 SF elementary school supports up to 800 students. O’Connell Robertson Architecture designed flexible learning environments and other key educational elements. “Grade Level Neighborhoods” group students of the same grade level together among six classrooms, forming a learning neighborhood. Open learning spaces outside the classroom offer dry erase walls, play areas, and collaboration tables. Reading nooks and display cases made with TorZo Striata are located throughout, along with ceiling and wall panel accents. Schools require TOUGH materials, and TorZo fits the bill.
